Of My GRL Wrap Up

I'm going to post my GRL wrap up in bullet points. I feel like it's easier.

  • The big signing event was fun! The attendees and authors said it would have been triple the crowd if it wasn't for the pandemic. Admittedly, the smaller crowd size worked well for my first time.

  • I was able to hit the authors whose books I brought with me to get signed. There were lines, but it didn't take that long.

  • I need to invest in a box cart or book cart. I carried my Tory Burch Ella tote filled with books and while I had plenty of room for the books, it was heavy!

  • There were definitely cliques, which is fine. There were readers who've attended GRL for years and have formed a bond. It was cool to see that.

  • Thank goodness for media mail. I checked my USPS receipt and I mailed 20lbs worth of books! That's on top of my suitcases at 50lbs each. One was filled with books, the other one had little bit of clothes and toiletries.

  • GRL was fun. I was only there for the signings but it looked like the main attendees were having a great time.

  • I had a blast in my own way. I was really there for the signings, that was more than enough for me. To see my favorite authors, have them sign my books and say hi to them. That was all I needed and I was able to experience that. I didn't feel like I missed out on anything.

  • I'll definitely do it again. Maybe not bring so much books, but the whole signing thing, that was fun! Next year if the budge permits, I'll definitely get my ticket on time and have the full GRL experience.
