So, I went on an adventure the other day. Barnes & Noble had this spectacular sale, 50% off all hardbacks in store! I found out about it through Instagram. Unfortunately, I found out while it was already happening & it was a 13-hour work day so I couldn’t muster the energy to drive to the nearest one.
That’s the thing, there’s no Barnes & Noble nearby. There’s Books-A-Million about 40 minutes away. But for B&N, I have to drive close to 2 hours each way. The one I always go to is in Fredericksburg. It’s a beautiful drive to get there and I love the small town vibe.
This time around, I decided to go to Bowie Town Center. It’s some place I’ve never been before the drive seems doable. So I planned my route, my drive and set off to an adventure.
When I got to the store, there was a long line at the register. I also noticed most of the books I wanted are practically gone. I wanted to get the hardcovers of Illuminae Files & ACOTAR. I wasn’t even surprised they’re sold out already, but I was cautiously optimistic.
Over all, I still had fun. I got out of town for a few hours, listened to an amazing audiobook and was able to visit a place I haven’t been before. I wish I got more books but that’s okay. Low key, I wished I also went to Fredericksburg but there was no time to drive from one spot to another in separate directions. Maybe next time. 😉
